Answer

Hello Tim, thank you for contacting AppliancePartsPros.com If replacing the ice maker module and the valve has not resolved the issue, go to the harness WP2187464 on the ice maker, disconnect it where it connects to the harness coming from the fridge itself. Use a multimeter to check resistance on the Tan and White wires going back into the fridge, you should read about 100-300 ohms resistance. This is your ice maker valve circuit. If the resistance value is present then either the ice maker harness or the ice maker module is bad. If the resistance is not present then either the valve is bad, the wiring through the unit is bad, or the harness 4389205 in the machine compartment is bad. Make sure the harness at the valve is connected. If the harness through the unit to the valve is bad or the harness in the machine compartment is bad, then there is no suggested repair as the harness through the unit is a non-serviceable component and the harness in the machine compartment is no longer available from the manufacturer.
