Rich for Model Number LAT9605AAE

Hi: I recently replaced my fill valve and water injector assembly. (bought from you) At the same time, I replaced the shut-off valves that were leaking and wouldn't open all the way. I replaced the old gate valves with ball valves. The parts I replaced seem to work fine. I notice that the machine fills much faster, which seems better, but there seems to be what I would call "splash back" at the place where the water injector sits against the lid and I get water splashing back inside the machine. Should there be any sort of rubber gasket or something similar to seal the junction between the water injector and the lid?

Answer

Rich, No, there is no gasket or shield between the injector assembly and the washer top or lid. Check and make sure the end of the flume isn't damaged or distorted, and the flume is properly snapped and locked to the bottom portion of the assembly. " The injector housing is connected to the top cover. A hose is connected to the injector housing from the water valve. To Remove Injector Housing: 1. Disconnect unit from power supply 2. Pull washer away from wall to access components. 3. Remove the two inside screws on the control panel and tilt it away from the console. 4. Remove two screws, securing the front panel. 5. Raise top cover to access injector. 6. Remove screw securing injector to control housing. 7. There is a tab on the injector housing that stabilizes the position, remove injector housing by sliding assembly to the left(after the screw is removed). 8. Remove cover securing injector housing to top cover. 9. Remove clamp from hose attached to the injector housing. 10. Reverse procedures to reassemble." Recheck to make sure the assembly is installed properly and isn't distorted or uneven where it mounts to the top cover. Also check and make sure both faucets are full open and have the same approximate water flow and pressure(hot water is slightly lower than the cold water supply, usually).
