Dave for Model Number jdr8880rdb Is it common that the gas knobs break after less than two years of use? The idea that these cheap plastic knobs cost 14 dollars each is absurd. I have had many free standing ranges over my life time and never have had any of them had knobs that broke that quick. This is particulary troublesome considering what I paid for this dual fuel range compared to the cheaper ones I had in the past.
Answer Dave, Based on our usage and stock reports, This particular gas valve knob is not more suseptible to breakage, than anyother "plastic" burner valve knob. It is a chrome plated knob, and that would account for some additional cost. You may want to contact the manufacturer and attempt to recieve some assistance from them.
