Scott for Model Number WMH1163XVB-2 The original lightbulb burned out, after 6 years of use, impressive..but the replacement I used wasn't as bright as the original - even though it was a 40 watt - now - I had to break the replacement bulb to remove it - the bulb is replaced at right angles to the screw hole - in other words, it's not on your right or left hand side it's towards you as you screw the new one in ..you're tightening the bulb in a counter-clock-wise manner ... so, now that I've removed what I thought was the same bulb as the original - I'm not sure how to proceed ... ANY help is appreciated!!!
Answer Hello Scott. Test and make sure you have the proper voltage coming to the bulb. If so, then the socket and board are good. If not, then the board may need to be replaced or the socket may be damaged. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
