Amanda for Model Number LSN2000LW1 Hello, the transmission on my washer is leaking, I am wanting to replace part number AP4397673, I am wanting to know how to change this seal out, also what steps should I take in order to replace the transmission fluid. Please provide me with detailed instructions.
Answer Amanda, It's a lot more involved than you think. Either way, you'll need to remove the complete gearcase 3360629 dismantle that component, replace the seal(s) and oil and reinstall the gearcase. You'd be better served, to replace the assembly, instead of attempting to repair/rebuild the gearcase you have. It makes for a nice Saturday morning project, if you have all the special tools and parts available and on hand. You may want to re consider the complete gearcase. Thanks Read More...
