Bruce for Model Number KUCS02CRSS0 Two questions: When I turn compactor knob to the "start" position, it does not spring back to the "on" position. The compactor continues to try to compact until I manually return the knob to the "on" position. Is part AP3115288 the part I need to replace? Also, if so, then how do I remove the knob from the control part to replace both? I tried force using plyers, but still couldn't get it to come off.
Answer Hi Bruce. The switch is supposed to positively return as mentioned. It is part # 675382. The cabinet top needs to be removed to get to the switch. What you need to do is to use a wrag wrapped behind the switch and pull it off from the shaft. The white switch is part # WP9871799. The black switch is part # [AP308104]. Thank You. Read More...
