Stan for Model Number mah5500bww Belt jumped off of pulley. I replaced old belt on pulley and motor shaft. Machine ran, but noisey, metal clunking. Belt jumped off again. New belt was very difficult to put on pulley. Had to have someone turn from inside tub to slip on belt. After a two or three turns of puley, by hand, new belt jumped off of pulley towards the tub. Placed belt on again, spinned twice, repeat (belt jumped off). Warp in pulley was not obvious, but I did not inspect closely. Is it the pulley, the bearings, the outer tub, the motor shaft; what's the best probability? How do I make the repair?
Answer Hello Stan. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the outer tub assembly 22004465 is bad and will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, February 21, 2012
