Adam for Model Number MSD2456DEW I recently bought this Overload relay kit. I have two black wires, an orange wire, and blue from the fridge. The new kit does not have enough terminals for all the old wires. Where do all the wires go?
Answer Hello Adam, The blue wire goes to the overload, the white contraption with one terminal. The orange wire goes to terminal #2 on the start relay. The two black wires are from the capacitor and will hook to terminals 2 and 3. They are not polarized so you cannot get them crossed. One will hook to the same side as the orange wire (terminal #2) and the other wire will hook to the terminal on the opposite side of the relay, (terminal #3). If the new relay doesn't have two terminals on the same side of the relay, you will have to connect these two (one orange and one black)together and hook them both to terminal #2 on the relay. Let me know if I can assist you further. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, May 10, 2012
