Alex C. for Model Number Maytag MDB7744SBM2 To Replace the control panel AP5985062, do I need to remove the bottom panel or only the top panel which is the control panel unit? How many screws hold the control panel unit? Do you have a video that will show this replacement? Thanks
Answer Hello Alex, If the model number is actually MDB7749SBM2, you will need to remove all of the screws around the inside perimeter of the door. Removing the inner door panel will allow the added slack in the wiring to maneuver the control panel for service. The bottom panel will not need to be removed for this repair.
