Sam P. for Model Number mah5500B I have the same issue as Ed does above where the belt is actually cutting into the drum. I bought a new belt and it just runs off the pulley after I spin it 1 rotation. I noticed that the Pulley wheel is actually flexing from the tension on the belt and I have the tension as low as it can go. Is that part supposed to be able to flex at all or is mine just worn out?? Laundry is piling up! A solution would be greatly appreciated.
Answer Hi Sam. Is the pulley inner splines completely worn out part # 22002315? Rotate the inner basket and make sure the rear bearing is not grinding. This will cock the plane of the basket and allow the spinner pulley to wear into the basket. The rear basket w/ bearing is part # 22004465. The inner basket spinner is part # W10181639. You will need to replace the spinner nut part # WP22003937 and washer part # WP22003936. Let us know how to help you further. Thank You. Read More...
