Mark W for Model Number GU2200XTSQ3 I'm pretty sure I have a problem with either the circulation pump motor or the impeller on my dishwasher. After seeing your video, I think I could handle the replacement of the motor. The entire pump assembly is only $35 more, I'm leaning toward buying that in order to get new chopper, etc. Questions: 1) How hard is it to replace the entire pump and sump assembly? Do you have a video for that? Is it harder than swapping out a motor? 2) Does the pump assembly come with a thermistor? The description makes it sound like it doesn't, and that it has a "new, larger Thermister port". I'm wondering if my present (perfectly good) thermister will fit. Thanks very much. Mark
Answer Mark, The pump is actually easier to replace the to replace the motor assembly. There are 3 tabs that you pull out to release the sump housing on the unit. The thermistor opening is larger than the original on part number WPW10780877 but if you get W10782773 the original thermistor should work. Here is a video for replacing the pump and motor assembly. http://fast.wistia.net/embed/iframe/60mnb62qda?controlsVisibleOnLoad=true&plugin%5Bsocialbar-v1%5D%5Bbuttons%5D=email-twitter-googlePlus-facebook&version=v1&videoHeight=237&videoWidth=422&volumeControl=true&autoPlay=true Read More...
