Tom N for Model Number GU2455XTSS0 Our Whirlpool dishwasher (GU2455XTSS0) is about 8 years old. It seems to have "somewhat" low pressure, as the inside of glasses and mugs on the top rack are not getting much water and end up still dirty. Dishes on the bottom also seem not quite as clean. I have checked both arms and the small spinner on the top for blockages and all are clean. The seals seem OK, not tight but not broken. The filters, sump area, and food chopper assembly are clean, the impeller drive to the chopper is fine, the motor turns, water fills to the bottom of the heater element, AND the circulation motor is very quiet. Could the impeller still be bad, causing low flow? Also, can the motor be "weak", though it sounds fine and is moving quite a bit of water, just not enough? Or, any other ideas? :) Thanks very much!
Answer Tom, If the motor is turning it would be more likely that the issue will be with the impeller assembly not moving the water properly. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, September 1, 2015
