Mike for Model Number LER5636JQ0 My dryer will run but will not produce heat. I checked all the things such as all the thermostats, thermal fuse and heating element. All which tested good. I was told that it was the timer switch. I then noticed that the timer would not move from where I set it, so I bought a new timer and put it on. This did not fix any of my problems. Can some one tell me what else it could be?
Answer Hello Mike. You need to start at the heater and trace backwards and see where your losing voltage at. It could be the switch in the motor on the unit. Also, make sure there is 240 volts coming to the unit and it is not on air fluff. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
