Answer Paul, The refrigerator thermistor is located inside the refrigerator light assembly in the ceiling. if you look closely you'll see the three "slots" molded into the frame. First remove power to the refrigerator, then remove the clear plastic light lense. Squeeze the tabs on each side of the light cover and pull the cover down to release it from the frame. Remove the light bulbs. Use a flat blade screwdriver to release the four tabs along the sides of the frame, insert the screwdriver into the long slots and pry out carefully. Then use a clean or taped putty knife or similar tool and carefully pry the front edge of the light assembly housing, this will release the the tabs holding the front of the housing to the ceiling. Disconnect the wire harness from the cabinet liner and lower the assembly. Cut the wires to the thermistor and unclip the thermistor from the frame. Splice the wires and make sure the connection is water tight and moisture resistant, attach the replacement thermistor to the frame and reverse the procedure and restore power to the refrigerator.
