Brian for Model Number GSS30C6EYW03

The diffuser in my customers fridge was opening and closing continuously so I replaced it. That took care of the diffuser problem but the following morning they contacted me and said the freezer temps were ranging from -12 to 0 and the fridge side was ranging from 27 to 41 degrees. Freezer is set at 0 and the fridge at 38. I would like to test both of the temp sensors at the control board but I'm not sure of the location on the board. Unless you think the temp sensors aren't the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Answer

Brian, the main control W11088499 is going to be located just above the compressor compartment behind its own access panel. This kind of failure can be caused by failed thermistors or by a failing main control. Testing the sensors from the board would be the best way to identify which is the cause.
