Chuck for Model Number JGA8100ADB burner cartridge for Jenn Air JDS9860 range Troubleshooting an ignitor that stopped working in a JGA8100ADB burner cartridge. Swapped the working cartridge from the other side and it works ok. So I opened up the bad cartridge and checked continuity and nothing looked broken. Cleaned everything. Now both ignitors are not working. Putting the good cartridge on that side does work so it must be the parts in the bad cartridge. I see in your diagram that there is the Spark Electrode WP74005890 / AP6010920 photo that matches what I have in my JGA8100ADB burner cartridges. Also appears that the Top Burner Spark Igniter 74004053 / AP4093621 matches. So my question is whether both need replacing? If the igniter is just the porcelain insulator and wire and not broken and has continuity, does it need to be replaced too or just the spark electrode assembly? Nothing seems to be visually broken. Should I buy the spark electrode and two ignitors? Or is it perhaps just the electrode? Unless physically broken there anything that can go bad on the ignitors? What is the return policy? Thanks!
Answer Hello Chuck, start by replacing the ignitor first, doubtful it is the spark module as when it fails there is no stark at all anywhere.WP74005890. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, March 18, 2022
