Brian for Model Number WFG510S0AW0 I have a gas stove that is about three years old. The oven will work fine some times other times it acts like it is trying to light and wont other times it seems like it is lighting but the temp is not up to temp. For example we will set at 375 and it will seem to preheat to that them you put something in the oven like a pizza. and it is not getting done. So we cancel it out and turn it to 375 and it says that it is heated to 290 only. even though it showed before we cancelled it 375. Any Ideas I replaced the igniter already thinking that was the problem? Any ideas I am thinking that it is the temp sensor?
Answer Hello Brian. You will need to test the oven sensor in the unit. It should read 1100 ohms at room temp and 1650 at 350°. If it is good, then replace the control board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
