Phillip B. for Model Number RBD305PRT00 First time for oven cleaning cycle on upper oven. With 1 hour to go on cycle the panel went blank. I checked the circuit breaker and then when the oven cooled I tryed heating the oven and no heat. Panel appartantly works fine but unit will not heat. This sounds like the same problem I am reading about here with the thermal overload. What do you think?
Answer Hello Phillip. If the clock is still blank, you may have a bad thermal fuse WP4451042 on the control panel. If the unit is working, but just the heat is not working, then it could be a bad thermal overload WP9759243 on the unit. You can test the thermal overload on the unit. It should read closed for continuity on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
