Sir S. for Model Number RS696PXGB13 I have a Whirlpool built in range and need to check the thermal overload. Location is solved, however, getting the range out to get to it is the real problem. It doesen't appear to want to slide or lift out. Any help would be appreciated.
Answer Hello Sir, Open the oven door and look on the inside edge near the bottom on both sides. You will see one screw on each side. Remove the screw and the trim piece that it went through will pull out at the bottom about an inch then it slides straight down. Removing this trim piece on each side will expose the screws that mount the unit to the cabinet. You should use two people to move the unit so you don't get hurt and don't forget to turn off the breaker and verify you turned off the correct breaker. Gloves are strongly recommended also.
