Cyriac K. for Model Number RBS305PDB6 I have a Whirlpool electric wall oven, model RBS305PDB6 .I did a self clean cycle and turned it off at 1 hr. 30 minutes. Next day when I turned the oven ON, the heating element did not turn On, the LED control panelworks fine. Pre heat and bake cycle works fine.Looks like everything is working fine except that the baking and broiler element do not turn ON. So no heat at all! What went wrong?
Answer Hello Cyriac. You will need to disconnect the power to the oven, and uninstall it. Then remove the back panel and test the thermal overload WP9759243. It should read closed for continuity. If it is open, it will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter MA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
