Ed for Model Number GBS307PDS1 I ran the Whirlpool oven GBS307PDS1 through the self-cleaning cycle and noticed the front panel was extremely hot, so I cancelled it trying to stop any damage. But afterwards it won't heat top or bottom. Checked the elements and they have the right resistance.I've read another post with similar problems and the answer said the control panel was not available. Is it possibly the thermal overload and how would I check it?
Answer Ed, You're most likely correct. it's probably the thermal fuse WP9759243. There is no easy way to access or circuit test the fuse, it's mounted on the back of the wall oven, so you'll have to remove the oven from the wall, remove the back cover panel, then check or replace the fuse.
