John V for Model Number hotpoint i do not have model # my father in-law bought a new machine and the hot water is luke warm repair man told him that is how all new washers are. I tend to disagree. Is it possible that the mixing valve is bad from factory how do test it myself. Also do I have to open the back of machine.
