Barbara for Model Number Whirlpool Cabrio wtw7340xv My washer will start to run when it's not turned on but it doesn't fill with water. When I try to wash clothes it will look like it's starting but will not fill with water or wash the clothes. It also starts to make noises when it's not even turned on. They only way to make it stop is if I unplug it.
Answer Hello Barbara, This sounds like a control issue. You should first use a putty knife to raise the lid and open the Ziploc baggy and remove the Tech Manual. Be sure not to damage the bag since it is extremely important to put the manual back so it can be located the next time it is needed. The unit should be run through the self diagnostic procedure to check for fault codes. I would suspect if the unit is coming on by itself, the control WPW10299400 is probably the issue. Read More...
