Dustin for Model Number Maytag SE1000 The washer will occasionally overfill and spill out into the floor. The unit is in a rental unit so I am going on what the renter is telling me. He says the overflow does not happen everytime he uses the washer and only seems to happen periodically when the washer is set on the large load capacity setting. Would this be the water level sensor or water inlet valve?
Answer Dustin, There are three(3) things you need to check, based on your post. The water level switch WP206418, the air dome hose 22001616 and you'll need to slide the washer out and check for loose connections in the umbilical cord connector on the left top corner of the rear of the washer top panel. A loose connection in the umbilcal, a clog in the air dome hose, or a clog or loose connection in the water level switch, can cause the washer top overfill when set to the large water setting.
