Stacey for Model Number LXR6232EQ0 My very old Whirlpool wash machine immediately starts to agitate when turned on. It doesn't fill with any water. I tried different water level settings, different cycles, and different water temps, but as soon as I turn on the machine it just agitates. I ran it through a whole cycle and there was no water even when it was spinning. This has happened intermittently the last few weeks but when I let the machine agitate after a minute or two of starting a the machine it would stop and then fill with water and continue with it's normal cycle. Does the water level switch need replaced or do you think it may be something else? Thanks for your help. Stacey
Answer Stacey, You will want to check the pressure hose that goes from the water level switch to the tub and make sure that it is not clogged up and that the air dome that it connects to on the tub is not clogged. If this checks ok then the water level switch would most likely be faulty and need to be replaced. The part number for the pressure switch is W10337780. Read More...
