Answer Hello Robert. You will need to check and see if the lid switch 3949247V is bad or broken. If so, it can cause the problems your having. It should read closed with the lid closed and open with the lid open for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
