How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP3783242 / 00440670 Float Assembly

Replaced Float Assembly and also inlet water valve. 

You tube is a very resource rich form of media for DIYers like me. I just search YouTube using the “ Why my Bosch dishwasher won’t fill up with water and the site shows possible list of problems and ways to fix it. In my case it was due to a faulty water inlet valve. I ordered the float assembly with the switch as a spare should the part fail in the future. Appliance part pros has been my go to site for appliance repair videos for a decade now. I particularly love their 365 days Return policy. 

Our Bosch dishwasher had a couple of odd loads where soap was left over and the dishes weren't clean. On the last try, there was water left over in the bottom of the dishwasher. Based on all the handy info on this site, I ordered both the water inlet valve and the float assembly. Given the water inlet valve was both easier to replace and the more likely culprit, I replaced that first. Eureka! That did it. The video here was extremely helpful. Replacing this part without pulling the dishwasher out of the cupboard will test the limits of your fingers but it's doable. I'll keep the float assembly in case that goes some day, too. 

Replaced Inlet Control Valve and Float Assembly. I replaced both for two reasons. One, I was unsure which part was the actual cause, and two, since I was going to pull the unit out for repair, it made sense to go ahead and replace both parts at the same time. Huge thanks to AppliancePartsPros.com
