First off, I am amazed at how well my 26 year old Frigidaire FDG747RBS0 dryer has held up being it is 26 years old.
The drum was turning sluggishly as if the belt was slipping, there were some unusual noises during use, and the dryer was taking much longer to dry clothes.
I figured as long as I was going to replace the belt, I may as well replace the rear bearing, the front felt glide, the lower felt glide/seal, and the blower seal. I'm glad I did that!
Appliance Parts Pros had the best prices, and only took one day for parts to arrive.
I am an experienced handyman so replacing these parts was a piece of cake for me to do.
Since I had the dryer drum out, I thoroughly cleaned out all the lint dust from every nook and cranny inside the chassis. Now my dryer is working great again, hoping to get a few more years of service out of it.
