First: I'm a 74 year-young woman who considers herself a "Ms-fix-it". However, I was concerned this might be a bit of a challenge. After receiving the part and viewing the repair video twice, it was a piece of cake. It took a maximum of 20 minutes. It's important to identify and assemble all the tools you'll need: a phillips screwdriver and a nut driver were all that was needed. I also purchased a compressor run capacitor, just in case. Haven't needed the capacitor so far. I did, however, also installed a new gasket for the freezer. At present, the freezer seems to be running well; I'll give it a week to be sure. One thing I found important is to clean out the area where the motor and fan are located - you'd be surprised to discover just how much dust accumulates there which can interfere with the refrigerator's functioning.
