Michael G Fitchburg , WI December 22, 2014 Appliance: Model FRIGIDAIRE FTF2140 Washer would not do final spin I ordered the door lock assembly, and assembly was very, very easy. When i started a test load, I got a terrible "stuck" sound and the door lock didnt work. I reinstalled the faulty door lock, and it clicked, and let me start, but it would again stop right before the final spin. I reinstalled the new assembly, same 'stuck' noise, reinstalled the old one... this repeated for 3 times. FINALLY, I opened up both door lock assemblies and swapped the guts. I put the new guts in the old housing, closed back up, and installed - Worked PERFECTLY! this would have been a five min project otherwise. Read More...
