How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3950872 / 241527805 Starter

Starter and Capacitor on compressor replaced. 

I ordered new starter and run capacitor, the parts came earlier than stated install should have been plug and play, the starter however did not have the same connector prongs to fit the stock plug, luckily I had some push on insulated connectors, cut wires and crimped new connectors on, after that was easy plug in and fridge/freezer is working fine now, no clicking noises 

I replaced both the start device and the starter capacitor. I did find that the style of electrical connector had changed, requiring me to replace the wire ends with crimped connectors. The whole assembly was also a bit taller than original and I used a small key ring to extend the retaining wire so that it would reach. 

Replaced the starter overload switch on the compressor . In which I had to alter the wire connections it had a smaller electrical fittings on the switch that I received. I hoped it was the right part.

Easy fix and huge savings. Opened the back panel and found the connection between power supply --> starter/run capacitor combo --> compressor, and removed both listed parts. The new (replacement) starter came with an extra plastic connection cover that I chose to remove to match the former setup. I reconnected the lines and compressor started right up.
