How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3860905 / WD28X10177 Silverware Basket Assembly

With the LG microwave,I replaced one of the micro switches that worked with the door latch assembly With the GE dishwasher, I replaced the lower dish rack and silverware basket with lids.

I ordered replacement from AppliancePartsPros based on measurements and details provided in product description as exact replacement part not available (older machine). Next day delivery and basket fits perfectly in place of -original-couldn't have worked out better.

Replaced filter and silverware basket with new ones 

A new Whirlpool dishwasher was equipped with a silverware basket far too small for even a little household like mine....but after measuring the space that it would accommodate, it was easy to find a replacement basket. No "repair" here, just a replacement. 

With parts from applicanepartsPros.com. Parts arrived faster than Jimmy Johns.
