How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP7193991 / WB07X42948 Range Bottom Door Trim Channel

Installed new bottom trim from Appliance Parts Pros. Was somewhat difficult to identify the right part. Almost ordered the wrong part from another site, but luckily I found this site which helped me identify the right part. 

Took the door off, unscrewed the back of the door, and the bottom rail. Replaced the rail and reversed the process above Door looks as good as new! 

Removed the door following the direction in the manual. Laid door on a card table for ease of handling. Removed to screws at top of door that appears to be for removing the handle. NOT!Removed the three screws at bottom of the door that are in the channel strip. This allowed the back half of the door to be removed and then it permitted access to the 4 screws (2 each side) that held the channel in place. Removed the channel, Did the cleaning and reversed the steps to install the new part and reassemble the door. Replaced the door. Looks like new. 

This was easy to fix using the video that's on the product's page. I had a really hard time getting the old piece off once I disassembled the door. I needed to use a flathead screwdriver between the piece and the door and gently tap it with a hammer. Other that that, it was extremely easy and looks a lot better.

Replaced the outer glass door on a GE oven because it shattered. 

Followed instructions in "how to" video online which was extremely helpful. 

Purchased replacement part. When extracting the door one of the hinges returned to locked mode. Needed a vise to recock the hinge. 

Replaced oven door glass and bent bottom trim channel. The available video explained the process perfectly.
