How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP6237536 / WH43X25443 Agitator Cap (Short)

My washer is model GTW680BSJ1WS. I noticed the new GE model Gtw685bslws same specs as mine but it has an agitator. After some homework I ordered the 1) agitator base assembly. Wh43x25447 (AP6024287) 2) Auger assembly. WH43x25448 (AP6024667) 3) Cap agitator short WH43x25443 (AP6237536) . Total $63.45 plus tax and I installed it easily. My machine is a much better machine now it agitates the clothes as the old machines did, and does a better job on the balance before the spins. Just a heads-up you could check. This is info only worth looking into. 

It was a simple fix. A 7/16 wrench to take off the agitator coupler. Put new agitator on. That came with a coupler. Tighten down 7/16 Bolt. Put new agitator cap on and you are done. 

Ordered new agitator top and bottom. 

I found a video online that stated the agitator coupler and the splines inside the agitator were worn. I ordered the redesigned agitator replacement assembly that included the coupler and installed it. Agitator is now completely stable and no noise. This was a very easy repair. 

I fixed by taking the washer apart... then I ordered all the parts from the appliancepartspros store and installed with no issues. 

Replaced both parts 

I ordered my parts from Appliance Parts Pros.com and they arrived within 3 days of my order. I then watched the tutorial video that they had on their website. It literally took me 3 minutes to repair the problem and have clothes washing. 

Ordered new parts. Easy just like last time. Easy to use website. Fed-ex carried the parts to my doorstep 1.7 days later, just as advertised. Bam! You guys rock. Keep doing what you're doing.
