How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3772889 / WD28X10128 Dishwasher Silverware Basket

Initially we tried to fix the silverware basket but when that didn't work, I went searching for a replacement basket. Since it was an older dishwasher, I had difficulty finding the replacement part but AppliancePartsPros.com made it easy and was very reasonably priced. It was easy to order from them and it arrived quickly.

Just replaced it with the new one. 

Just bought a new basket at a reasonable price, out with the old & in with the new. 

After about four or five years, parts of the bottom of the dishwasher utensil basket broke and knives would fall through. Most dangerous, unless you want a cut---NOT! Ordered replacement from Appliance Parts Pros website. Thinking a replica or lesser than basket would be sent, it's the exact same GE part and cost a lot less. Even with shipping, it is still $10+ less. Wish I ordered sooner to stop the nuisance and potential injury. Thank you!

I simply replaced the silverware basket. For less than $20 my problem was solved! 

With the dishwasher model number, serial number, and existing silverware basket dimensions. I ordered a replacement silverware basket, the match was perfect - - part was delivered in 2 days.
