How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2058305 / WR2X4550 Drive Cup

Replaced the yellowed handles with new white ones and matching trim. The genuine GE replacements were not a 100% perfect fit but you can only tell if you're looking up close. 

I welded the auger first but it didnt seem to last. i then took the whole thing apart and found more worn parts so i ordered all of the parts i needed and replaced them. it now works like new. 

Ice dispenser deflector had broke in half allowing crushed ice only. Removed ice bucket from freezer, removed front cover for bucket, removed cover for deflector, the pin that holds the deflector in place comes out from the back side. Removed pin and deflector, placed new deflector and pin in cover. Installed cover and placed ice dispenser back in freezer. The video for this shows a different model deflector, this is why you have to remove the cover to get the pin out to replace the deflector. 

Fortunately I had the original parts # list -it makes the search easier . Appliance Parts Pro had my needed parts in stock ! I ordered them about 2 :00 P.M. Friday . My new parts were on my front porch @10:00 A.M. Saturday -the NEXT morning ! Repaired by noon . Incredible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!--Thanks A.P.P.
