How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2042269 / WE1X1263 Timer Knob

At first I didn't know what was wrong with it. So I googled it. Then I looked at the manufacturers pamphlet that came with the dryer to figure out what the knob was called. Then I googled it and came upon your site. I entered the model number and saw the knob and bought it. I am so happy now!!! Thank you. It works great.

New timer from you and put it in myself. Took me longer to fond the right screwdriver to fix it than to actually change the part. 

I had the good fortune to find Appliance part to get the parts I needed. I started with replacing the one knob and finished with replacing all the knobs. Finding the parts remind me of my job at General Motors Parts in Flint,Mi. working with dealers complains about receiving the wrong parts. I enjoyed my job. I thank you for your service. At first I looked to Amazon but they only had one used one that might fit. I then checked with your company. Not only did you have the part but it offered a cross reference to the model that made sure I was getting the right part. Replaced timer switch. I could not believe that AppliancePartsPros had this part in stock for a 21 year old dryer, and was able to ship it to me so I received it the next day.

Located the replacement knob on AppliancePartsPros.com, used the easy to order procedure, and waited for the knob to come in (within 24 hours). I just removed the old knob and simply replaced it by sliding the new knob onto the shaft as instructed, Very easy.
