How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3993593 / WB06X10706 Fan

Replacement of the cover and fan was a 5-minute job. However, the cover does not include the retaining pin that must be removed to rotate the cover for removal. I was able to get the pinout intact......or so I thought. The ribs that hold it in place came off. So even while the pin was in one piece, it would not stay in place. I read something about this, to save the pin. So, I had no usable pin. The cover fits very snugly, so I don't think it would be an issue. HOWEVER, a pin should be INCLUDED with the cover assembly. I feel like the job is only half done, even though it's perfectly functional. What would it cost to include a NEW pin? I would even order one, but I don't think it is available. 

Purchased a stirring cover, fan blade, and stirrer fan blade holder. Ordered parts from AppliancePartsPros around 11pm Thurs and the parts arrived Fedex, that Sat am. Couldn't have been more pleased. Microwave is like new!

The repair was simple, one screw to remove and replace. The best part was the parts were in my hands 2 days after I ordered them with no additional shipping charges. They were genuine G.E. parts and at 1/5 of what G.E. wanted to charge me 

Replaced fan blade, fan holder, and cover. I'm a retired appl. repair tech. of 40 years. so this repair was no problem. 

I replaced it with a cover from Appliance Parts Pros.
