Michael C Minneapolis , MN December 06, 2015 Original part was clogged and deteriorating I was surprised and delighted that the part was available on a 12 year old, no longer available model (GE Triton dishwasher). Repair took less than 10 minutes (the replacement part was an improvement over the old). Probably saved at least $100 in service call charges. Kimberly J Rio Rancho , NM October 13, 2015 The spring was broken and dishwasher door would drop open quickly Replacing the spring allows the door to open and close as the manufacturer intended. I'm an amateur DIY. I replaced the filter gasket also as the 13 yr old one was looking pretty shabby. It's not an exact replacement, and I did break one of the plastic pieces that is part of the hold down assembly. For the filter gasket -- look at the aluminum piece on the grommet that holds gasket in place, bend that carefully and remove it so as not to break the plastic that holds it down. Read More...
