How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP3188858 / WB55T10067 Range Oven Door Window Pack Assembly

Bought part through AppliancePartsPros and followed "how to" video....very good video and finished in less than 1/2 hour. One note - make sure you check how the door closes before repair begins. Mine appears not to close as tight. Also replacement part looks identical on all sides but it is not - make sure you install with correct side toward the oven. See "oven" and arrows on the metal frame. Also, the glass frame has slots on one side - instructions do not indicate that it matters whether slots should be at top or bottom. I replaced mine the same as original (at the top) although I think video has slots at the bottom but not sure it matters. Highly recommend. 

I watched the video on appliance parts pros site and also read the Q&A. It states that it doesn’t matter which side goes where but if you look there is an arrow next to OVEN that is stamped on the frame. 

After receiving help from Appliance Parts Pros on ordering the correct part, the part arrived in less time than stated. The part fit and the oven was back in service in less than 20 minutes. 

Installed new assembly as per your video!!

Followed provided video. Only "issue" was the video showed the installation of the window upside down. According to other instructions from other sellers, the vents face downwards, not upwards as shown. There is a "stamped" impression on the aluminum frame with an [up arrow] with the word "Oven" that presumably means that that surface should face the oven. while not mentioned in the video, the broken part confirmed that placement as correct, as well as the orientation of the vent (downwards). 

Purchased the correct part and followed the video to complete the repair. 

I did a little research online to find the replacement part and how to fix the problem. I ordered the part and had it in 2 or 3 days. And replaced he glass in about 15 minutes. 

Ordered my part from AppliancePartsPros at a very reasonable price and it was delivered in two days. Researched "how to" on YouTube and it was so easy! DIY complete and very satisfying!
