How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2021169 / WB15X10018 Handle

I called GE got part numbers then ordered from you. I am recently widowed, 73 years old so it was a bit of a challenge. My husband had all the tools & hardware so I was able to fix it. I was disappointed that new screws were not included with the parts. But I I really did a good job; the handle seems to be connected well & I am proud of being able to do it myself. 

Replaced with new ones 

It was easy. Just unscrewed the old one from inside the door and screwed in the new one. For the model # JBP78W0B1WW you have to order 2 end caps MFG(MFG # WB07K10043 and handle MFG # WB15X10018 ). Read another review and it was very helpful in ordering the right parts. Thank you for that review. And the parts came in a timely fashion (2 days). 

My husband repaired it. The repair took about 20 minutes. 

I had to remove two screws with some kind of funky head. I was amazed to find I had the proper tool. I only wish I had replaced these screws with ones that have a phillips head, but I didn't. I did have to remove two more small screws on the inside panel. No problem there. The parts that were sent fit very nicely and I don't have to buy my wife a new oven, yet. It is 17 years old so that day is coming. By the way, these parts cost less than 1/2 of what GE wanted. Also, the GE site was near impossible to navigate while AppliancePartsPros.com was very easy to find these 17 year old parts. They were in stock and were sent out quickly. Very impressive! 

Amazing! The parts arrived very fast via FedEx Ground. Swapping out the broken parts for the new ones was a breeze.
