I bought all the squeaky dryer parts including the belt and idler pulley and both front and rear bearing kits. Turns out the rear bearing was the main problem, as the plastic bushing was completely worn through, it was rubbing steel on steel, and had worn about a quarter of the steel thickness with a few days of horrific squeaking. (Note: Worn groove in the steel is why the whole bearing kit is necessary; don’t try to cheat and replace just the plastic.) One of the front bearing pads was also worn completely through. The belt and pulley were found in decent shape but replaced anyway. I have never torn apart a dryer, but it was easy, took about 3 hours.
