How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2013004 / WB2X7694 Light Cover Retainer

Ordered replacement parts that were sent very quick and reasonably priced! 

These parts fit my GE gas range oven model number JGBS23BEH5BB. I could not find part numbers online, so it was a gamble whether or not the parts would fit, but after watching the repair video that accompanied the listing, I took a shot since it looked similar. The cover, retainer clip, and light bulb fit perfectly. 

Ordered replacement parts 

Simple fix, I had broken the glass cover to the oven lite, now I needed to replace both cover and bulb, Appliance Parts Pros. had all the parts I needed at a great reasonable price compared to other Co. that offered the same parts.even got the retainer clip too in a good pkg price. Thanks all you do.

Once I discovered you guys, my world became better. We broke the globe in the oven about two years ago. I’ve replaced several oven lights since then. I finally got tired of doing that and started looking for the light globe. Had trouble finding the right one. Had one place hook me up to what they called the right one. It wasn’t. Then I discovered you guys. You had the entire assembly together but I could order it or just a single piece. I ordered the entire packet and had it in hand within a few days. It fit perfectly and was in place 5 minutes after receiving it. Thanks for making it easier guys!!

Checked with you, cant believe I still found parts I needed to fix such an old oven. I followed someone else repair that thought the oven didn't work. Worked great! 

BOUGHT NEW ELEMENTS AND INSERTED THEM AND NOW THEY SEEM TO WORK FINE. THE MAIN THING TO CONSIDER IS THAT THE CORRECT SIZE AND CONFIGURATION IS ORDERED. THE SIZE --COMPARE WITH THE EXCELLENT DIAGRAM ON THE WEBSITE WHICH SHOWS THE ONE INCH SQUARES -- COMPARE THAT DIMENSION WITH THE SIZE OF THE ELEMENT YOU WISH TO REPLACE (MEASURE YOURS WITH A RULER) ALSO NOTE THE NUMBER OF TURNS OF EACH ELEMENT WHICH CAN VARY FROM 3-4-5-ETC. GET THE CORRECT ITEM! 

Replaced with new part. Step one is to unplug oven from power (or turn off power from breaker box). When doing this job you mast also replace the oven light gasket. It prudent but not necessary to replace the screws. Getting the light cover retainer and lamp cover assembly was only precautionary and not needed for repair. When taking off old oven light cup, particular care needs to be used in disconnecting power terminals as they are easy to snap, if this occurs there is very little room to replace terminal and may require more extensive repair work. Under optimal conditions this is a 5 min job. Removing the oven door makes the job easier but is not necessary.
