Gerald D Somerdale , NJ April 13, 2014 Bottom dishwasher rack wore coating off in spots Got exact GE replacement rack from APP. delivery & installation went well. one problem was notice insofar as GE changed rack wheel and overall rack width slightly; also, some changes were made to rack layout. rack is usable; we just need to be more carful pulling rack in and out to load/unload dishes. replacement is more suitable for dishes, whereas the old handled our bowls better. thank you. Douglas F Virginia Beach , VA March 23, 2015 The top and bottom rack assemblies needed replacing I received the replacement baskets very promptly, and quickly replaced both of them. As my GE Dishwasher is over 18 years old, the baskets were slightly different. The lower one, with the larger wheels didn't line up exactly, but bending out the wheels ever so slightly gave me a good fit. The top basket slid right in after removing the last remaining end cap. Using the new version end cap allowed me to finish the top replacement in a matter of seconds. Thank You for a great website, which made finding the parts very easy, along with the videos for installing the parts. Jeff S Concord , NH November 15, 2014 Some parts had rusted Nothing to it. No tools required. Came with the rollers, which I wasn't even sure would be the case - in which case I could have used the old ones. The rollers had to be slightly bent outwards to fit properly in the dishwasher, but that was very easy to do. John M Macomb , MI August 27, 2014 Lower rack rusted not any more I didn't even have to do anything. The wife took care of it. The only issue is that that the new rack seems smaller in dishes that you are able to mount in it. Have to re-learn the method of loading the dishwasher. Michael H Broomfield , CO April 14, 2017 The 15 year old dishwasher suddenly started leaking a lot of water I had to detach the top edge of the dishwasher from the counter, then remove the toe plate and lower the legs so the dishwasher could slide out from under the cabinet. I ran a washing cycle and observed...and when the spraying part of the cycled started, water started pouring out from under the insulation on top of the machine. (In hindsight, I wish I'd removed the insulation first. And I wish I'd had more towels ready. :-) The spray arm at the top was blocked, and the hose that fed it was cracked and leaking water. The replacement parts took 3 working days to arrive. When I received them, it was easy to replace the hose and spray arm. They fit exactly. It took 15 minutes. Then I ran another cycle to check the leak was fixed (it was!) and finally pushed the dishwasher back in and extended the legs to brace it firmly. In all, it took 60 minutes to pull out the dishwasher and find the problem, 15 minutes to fix it, and 30 minutes to check the fix and reinstall the dishwasher. And it only took that long to pull out the dishwasher because the leak warped the floor boards, making it initially difficult to slide out.
