How to Troubleshoot & Replace Ge AP2039426 / WD18X214 Pump Connector

Pulled the pump out. Plastic Connector developed pinhole leaks. Replaced it, works great now. 

I replaced the pump connector myself after watching your video describing how to replace it. 

Ordered parts .They arrived in three days.Disconnected dishwasher, slid it out from under the counter.Turned over the washer and took out old and put in new. 

Ordered pump connector 

I ordered a connect P and a sump inlet. Since they are the same material, I figured they both were worn out. Got on your web sight, entered my model number and ordering my parts was simple. My parts from AppliancePartsPro.com came much faster than I expected and the repair was easy. My local appliance repair company charges $70 just to come out. So I saved a lot of money 

Replaced pump connector only took about 15 minutes total saved service call and wasted money for a job anybody can do. rack rollers as simple as closing a door not even 5 minutes ans self explanitory 

Could see water leaking from pump discharge coupler. In retrospect, I should have also purchased the pump rebuild kit. (Would be good to list parts commonly replaced together). Computer was broken and did search/ordering on an iPod touch). There is a special wrench used to install the coupling sleeve. The spray arm base is kept from rotating by two plastic tabs in the tub. Snap these off and you can unscrew it from coupling sleeve without any special tools. I put a screwdriver through the base to get enough torque to shear off the tabs. Put some RTV sealant on the spray arm base before screwing it into the new coupler. This will hold it in place and prevent leaks at the joint. 

Installed new pump connector, old one had cracks, and it was loose. You can go on line to see how to remove, and install new one. 

I ordered the replacement part late Tuesday afternoon and the very next morning, it was on my doorstep!! It is absolutely incredible how quick your company processed and shipped my order. And if that wasn't mind blowing enough, your company also offered the part cheaper then anyone else on the internet. I'm still amazed! 

Followed a YouTube video that showed the exact repair. It was critical to remove the dishwasher out to the floor and turn over just like the video showed. Taking shortcuts would have caused additional frustration, time, and possibly other damage.
