Igor K Fair Lawn , NJ April 26, 2016 Appliance: General Electric Electric Range PP972SM1SS One burner stopped working due to short circuited control the seal over time started to allow the liquids to go down the control shaft causing the short Disconnected ( already tripped) breaker in the panel. Lifted cooked top unscrewed the glass top and set aside. I took the picture of the wires connected to the control on my ipad and replaced broken control. reconnected the wires as per picture. Cleaned the greased glass top and replaced the infinite switch seal for the broken control. Then reinstall glass top back on the cooktop and put the cooktop back in in place. Enable breaker in the panel and now i have good working cooktop again. ( do not rush and follow the replacement video on the site) Read More... 5 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Socket Set

It shipped quickly, and my brother was able to replace the switch easily. I now have a working stovetop again. Would 10/10 recommend APP for anyone needing appliance parts, or installation instructions. Very helpful. Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
