Removed the old thermocouple and attempted to buy a replacement locally. Instead ordered it from Appliance Parts Pros.com and on their website was able to verify that I would be ordering a match for my brand of stove.
Had to shut off the gas to the stove, and literally take the stove apart to take out the old thermocouple and put in the new. Thanks to fast delivery service, down time was not excessive.
Comparing the old thermocouple to the new one, I could see why a replacement was necessary.
Replacement is loads cheaper than buying a new stove
