How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4441408 / 4984JJ3003A Hinge Bushing

Replaced the lower door hinge bushing. 

In analyzing my problem, I just couldn't believe the door stopper and hinge bushing were causing it. After digging around, there was just nothing else that could be causing my problem, so I ordered the parts and made the replacement. I was shocked at how this completely solved my problem. The fridge door now closes just like it did when it was brand new. 

Replace bushing. 

Remove the door and replaced the bushing. The diagrams on your website were extremely helpful. Made this job really simple. 

I purchased two grommet/bushing parts from this site. These are small, white plastic/nylon pieces that look like thimbles. Turns out, I only needed one to fix the problem. I had to take everything out of the fridge and remove the door. The hardest part was removing the remains of the old bushing, which had fallen apart into pieces. I picked out the remains and installed the new bushing, and then the door. Works like new now. 

Spoke to a very helpful and patient lady Samanthia who walked me through the ordering process. The part arrived the next day and after watching the video started the repair, it took me 45mins. I was quoted a repair cost of between $600 and $700 for the service tech to complete the same repair. I highly recommend this company for all of your appliance repair parts. 

I order bushing and stops for both doors. I replaced the bushings on the top door along with the stopper for the door. On taking the door off the door the bottom bushing was so bad it was dust. Put the door back on and it worked like new.
