How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4436707 / 3016JA2002M Ice Funnel

By watching the how-to video I was able to fix the refrigerator, although it was a simple fix I am much appreciative for the how to video that made the fix simple. I made my dad proud by being able to fix his refrigerator on my own. 

The part fits perfectly and I did not change my frame. The item also came the very next day which was pretty awsome. 

Ordered new ice funnel & it easily slipped into place. We are happy campers! :) 

Received the parts by 10am the day after I placed the order. Started repair right away and took less than 15mins to complete. The spring lever that I ordered did not match the actual spring in the appliance. It was missing a hook which keeps it engaged with the cap. I was able to modify the spring and add the necessary hook using my needle nose pliers, but it would have been better if it fit as needed right out of the package. Overall, couldn't be happier! 

I am so glad I ordered the parts. A family member came over to help. We watched the video on appliance parts pro’s website that showed step by step installation. He installed the parts, it took about 20 -30 minutes. $41.00 for parts vs $241.00 for parts, service fee, and labor. Thanks, Appliance Parts Pros, you saved the day and my pocketbook. 

Removed the tubing at the quick disconnect fitting at the water line valve at the bottom of fridge. Disconnected the water filter assembly inside fridge to access the quick disconnect and disconnected. Inserted new tubing at both places. Secured and tested the line. No leaks. Closed everything up and is working no leaks. 

I just clicked it in 

The new one just snapped into place. 

Watched the repair videos. Ordered the parts. Installed when parts arrived. Took about 30 minutes. 

Followed the instructions received via email.
