How to Troubleshoot & Replace Lg AP4440100 / 6549W1S013H Turntable Motor

Unplugged microwave. Removed 8 screws holding bottom panel. Removed wiring harness from motor. Removed two screws holding old motor and removed it. Then just reversed the process with the new motor. Simple. 

Purchased the part from you and replaced it and all done. 

After obtaining the model number and identifying the part number I contacted parts pro. The part arrived and I installed it. Great service ... 

Watched the video. Repaired as follows. Unplug the microwave. Remove the glass turntable and turntable coupler from inside. Remove the screws from the bottom panel. Mark the connectors of the motor and light in order to identify the orientation of the wires. Detach the motor and light from the connectors. Detach the bottom panel. Unscrew the old turntable motor. Attach the new turntable motor. Reposition the bottom panel. Reconnect the motor and light connectors. Attach the bottom panel. Insert the glass turntable and turntable coupler back into the microwave. Plug in the microwave. 

Unplugged the microwave. Removed Turnatable, Roller and Drive Adaptor from inside microwave. Removed a few screws from bottom panel and lowered the panel for access to motor. Removed plug from motor then removed motor by taking out 2 screws. Installed new motor doing the above in reverse order. 

I watched a video provided on this site for the part I needed to replace and change out the motor. 

Very easy fix...just removed the screws holding the bottom panel of the microwave in place. Next, remove the old motor (held on by two screws), and then add back the new one, and replace all the screws. One note of advice, have a helping hand or stand handy...the bottom panel has some wiring and it is easier to hold it partially up, rather than allowing it to be set all the way on the ground. 

Opened bottom of microwave and replaced carousel motor, about ten minutes. Scrubbed away 10+ years of oily grease, about half an hour. 

Replaced motor. Kenmore microwave is 13 years old and I thought it would be difficult to find the part. As soon as I entered the model number the part came up and it was delivered in three days. Awesome. 

Replaced the turntable motor. Took less than 5 minutes.
